Bizzeeeeee

I am so busy at the moment - my feet are not touching the ground!

I am working much longer hours again, not quite full time, but nearly, so that is good.  My head is nearly ok, so the meds are nearly right at last.  Hunter has gone to be sold.  My son has all but given up riding, so looking at things realistically, I couldn't give either horse the time they both needed.  My heart is always with Lara, so Hunter has to be sold. My degree course is going well - taking up loads of my time as I knew it would.  But it's really enjoyable, so that's ok.

Nearly Christmas - could really do with another week to get things ready, but don't suppose that'll happen!

So for Christmas I would like some time doing nothing please :)

Happy Christmas and a Peaceful New Year

A Day Off....

I'm having a day off today.  I have been working reduced hours as much as possible since the accident, but I've got a proper, whole day off today.  I've been up to see Hunter this morning.  Katherine came up with me and we took him into the school and did some stuff with him.  He was very chilled and lovely. Groomed him and turned him out again, and now I'm just faffing around doing a few bits and bobs.

I need to look at the next activities for the course - I know I have to run a film off using a brief of 'A Day In The Life' and I have arranged to hire out a darkroom so that I can process the film and print it (that'll be next week).  I also have to write a word document and get it uploaded and I will try and get that done this evening.

Best get on....

It's started

My degree course that is.  I am officially a student.  I have done the Induction week and week 1 so far and it has already got me hooked!  I have even dug out my old film camera from the garage (it's nearly 30 years old and has been in storage for over 15 years), popped a new battery in it, and it seems to work!  Well, it's making all the right noises.  We will see when we get the film developed if there are any light leaks...
Lots of work - I gave myself yesterday off as a treat - but that's ok as it's something I enjoy.  Just hope I am saying the same in 3 and a bit years!
Doctor has changed my meds again - headaches not improving so we are attacking them full on now.  These tablets are making me so tired, but at least I am sleeping now so that is better than being tired and not able to sleep!
Horses both doing well.  Have ridden Hunter quite a bit and am nearly ready to trot him again.  Parelli seems to be paying off in spades.  And I have been riding Lara loads too.  Love her so much.
Back to bed now - too tired to do anything else

One day to go.....

.....til I begin the Photography course proper!  I have been doing the induction course for the last week - it's really to get you used to how the site works and also getting used to putting time aside to do the work.  I'm excited, but nervous too.  I'd really like to see what the first module has in store...

In other news, oldest son has a job :)  He's temping in an office up til Christmas.  So pleased for him.

I have ridden Hunter a few times (and I'm riding him later today).  He's being a little star and seems so much happier and very relaxed.  Lara is looking great too.  I have been riding her quite a bit which is lovely.

Doctor is changing my meds around again - not currently on anything specifically for the headaches, which is not good.

And the weather seems to have changed - really feels like autumn now.

Just popping in...

...to say that I had a great riding lesson on Lara today.  Bev has decided that I should enter the dressage comp she is staging at the yard next month!  So she had me doing the Intro Dressage test to see how I got on.  And I loved it!!  Lara was fantastic and really looked after me (even if she didn't want to walk and preferred to stay in trot).  We went through it twice and it was great fun.   I even felt like I could ride!!

Some of my course books have arrived - I ordered them off Amazon - and I have begun reading one.  Really need to make some notes as I go...

Work is a bit manic with lots of changes happening - so I am trying not to think about them too much and concentrate on horses and photography (and G&T)!!

Wide-awake at silly o'clock

This is what my meds are doing to me!  It's nearly 1am and I have been at work all day, came home really tired, went to see the horses and did the feeds and poo-picking and stuff.  Had a lovely dinner and relaxed evening.  And now I cannot sleep.

I have sorted out the storage problem with my phone, set up a new iTunes account, sent emails to various people, offered my services to a charity event, backed up the phone and done some other bits and bobs, and I am still no closer to sleeping than I was two hours ago.

Oh, I got an email to say that I had won in a prize draw that I entered at Burghley.  So I have also emailed them to arrange delivery of the prize :)

I know that come the morning I will be so tired that I will have problems getting up!  Aaaarghhhh

Anyone know any sure-fire ways of getting to sleep?
